Environmental Police
African LME Engineers, NDT Technicians, lifting machinery Inspector and Instructors conduct non-destructive testing, general engineering, lifting machinery inspection and instructing.
The employees and management of African LME recognize their obligation to protect the environment in which the company operates. This obligation is reflected in the following:
African LME shall:
- Maintain an Environmental Management System to suit our sphere of operation;
- Ensure environmental awareness amongst all employees and provide sufficient levels of training to allow them to meet their environmental responsibilities;
- Develop procedures to manage environmental impacts, normal or accidental, arising from company operations;
- Meet, and where reasonably practical, exceed the requirements of all applicable environmental legislation and regulations;
- Encourage suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to improve and practice high standards of environmental awareness.
- Undertake waste reduction, re-use and recycling activities wherever practical and improve the efficiency of energy use within the organization;
- Regularly review our environmental performance and that of our systems;
- Set objectives and work towards targets to ensure continual improvement in environmental performance;
- Communicate this policy throughout all levels of African LME and make it available to the public on request.

Quality Policy
The policy of African LME is one of excellence with respect to quality as it relates to its own internal process, customer’s business, in order to maintain a reputation of integrity, honesty and quality consciousness. To ensure high levels of workmanship, professional practices and accuracy of the test results. We follow quality procedures, relevant standards and/or Client's specifications using well maintained and calibrated equipment.
The policy is implemented by recruiting and developing staff of high calibre who work in accordance with the best practice of their professional disciplines, referring to standards, codes and professional guidelines. Staffs are provided with adequate training and contribute to the development of others directly through means of academic or professional institutions.
In all instances, personnel consider the most up to date philosophy of quality and apply current standards through implementation of documented procedures developed from quality manuals which are prefaced by this policy statement and ensure that the requirements of the relevant standard and regulations are met.
